The usual quackery spewed out from dark, unknown corners in cyberspace onto my iPhone’s screen. It’s just another day, I reflected, whilst humming a Paul McCartney tune from my distant youth — a time when radio waves and bat-shit-crazy tabloid articles were the closest we ventured to social media. But now we face an endless stream of banal wittery disguised as news, always a mere finger-swipe away.

Yet, here I was again, my eyes scanning that 6.06-inch screen. For mere entertainment, I was looking for a choice piece that would slide past the threshold of ignorance into the realm of true stupidity. Unsurprisingly, I was richly rewarded with an article on the Noah’s Ark theme park in northern Kentucky and their evidence-free claim that 85 pairs of dinosaurs were on the Ark.

My mind drifted to a documentary on the Tiger King and the scene where one of the workers had their arm chewed off by a Tiger while trying to feed it. If a 400-pound tiger can do that, then I shudder to think about feeding a four-ton dinosaur living on a small boat.
